Lightwave is a registered Charity, under the umbrella of the Church of England, bringing an innovative approach to building Christian community in rural Suffolk.

We aim to spread the light of Jesus, throughout our County, through the work of our small groups. So far our groups range from after school 'Wild Church', a Christian walking group, Bible discussion group in a pub; breakfast church; teenage sports and food making groups; a community choir project and much much more, all sharing the light and love of Jesus in Suffolk.

As a Charity, we have started strong with a grant from the central Church of England, which has enabled us to start new groups with 300+ new members. But, we want to build further and wider and deeper and see more lives changed. We would love for more Christians in Suffolk to join us in supporting our vision to see lives impacted by Christ, Christian communities and practical support across Suffolk.

Giving

We can give in so many different ways -

Praying - We need people who will faithfully pray for the new and growing Christian communities that are springing up across the County, in cafes, schools, villages and homes. Join our growing group of prayer partners accross Suffolk and further afield.

Serving -  We love hearing from people who'd like to join in with the Lightwave Vision for Christian mission and new groups in Suffolk. Would you like to give your time to help a new or existing Lightwave group? Locally, we need people who can muck in and help with children's groups, get muddy in nature at Wild Church, help with a foodbank.  County-wide, we're looking for people with skills to help with social media, fundraising, governance and administration. Contact Andrew Gosden to find out more about any of these opportunities to serve with the central team

Giving Financially- Could you help us support the establishment and ongoing growth of new Christian communities and groups across the county? The opportunities are huge, but we need funding for a wide range of support, including mentoring and training of new group leaders, behind the scenes running of an organisation (insurance, safeguarding, training, IT), and employing paid Christian pioneers to set up work in new areas. Your donations could fund a food bank, a farm pastoral visit, afterschool Wild Church club, breakfast church refreshments...etc.

You can give online here, which includes details of how to make your donation worth 25% more through Gift Aid.

Gift Aid - If you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid to makes your donations go further, with 25p extra tax reclaimed on every £1 that you give and it won’t cost you a penny more. If you are making an online donation please complete the on-line gift aid declaration

Standing Order and One-off Donations by direct bank transfer - If you would rather, you can also give by Standing Order or give a one-off donation by bank transfer.
