On Sunday the 2nd October we celebrated our County Harvest Festival at Trinity Park in Ipswich. The service was organised as a joint event with St Edmundsbury Cathedral and it really was a fantastic afternoon.
So many of you joined us to worship together and to give thanks to God. The sun shone as we sang and danced and brought our Harvest offerings up to the straw Altar, with the sounds of live music and the noises of the Suffolk Punch, Suffolk Sheep and Red Poll Cattle. We hope you had as much fun as we did.
We'd love to say a huge thank you to all those who helped out in the run up to the event and on the day-
Ernest Doe Power of Sudbury for the agricultural equipment
E.R. & R.T. Rackham of Wickahm Market for the use of the lorry
Savills of Suffolk for the banner
Suffolk Agricultural Association
The Fisherman’s Mission
Field of Dreams Farm for providing the straw
John Fleming for bringing the Suffolk Punch
Stephen Cobbold for bringing the Suffolk Sheep
Andrew Thrush for bringing the Red Poll Cattle
Mark Jacklin for providing PA/Sound
The Place by the Water for providing crafts and activities on the day
To all who took part in the service, in the music, readings, and presentation of the offerings and more
We could not have done it without you all.
